ORLANDO, Florida – A developing Gulf low pressure system will bring much-needed rain to to Central Florida on Monday, February 24, 2025, beginning over the Tampa region tonight and moving over Orlando by Monday morning.
Rainfall mounts totaling an inch or more are likely, with areas of over 2 inches possible in west Central Florida locales from Tampa and I-4 northward, according to the National Weather Service Tampa.
The heaviest downpours over Orlando are expected between 10 AM and 1 PM.
Temperatures will climb to the mid-70s, peaking around 74-76°F, but the humidity and cloud cover may keep it feeling cooler and damp. Winds from the southwest could gust up to 15-20 mph as the system moves through, with showers possibly lingering into the afternoon before tapering off.
