BROWNSBURG, IN — FGF, LLC, located at 50 Maplehurst Dr, Brownsburg, IN 46112-9085, has issued a voluntary recall of multiple donut products due to potential contamination with Listeria monocytogenes, a bacterium that can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems. The recall was initiated by the firm on January 7, 2025, and classified by the relevant authorities on February 5, 2025.

The recall encompasses a broad range of donut products, all classified as Class II, indicating a situation where use of the product may cause temporary or medically reversible adverse health consequences. Here are some examples of the recalled products:

15 Dunkin’ products including Munchkins, apple fritters, French crullers, paczki pastries, cake rings, and cinnamon sticks.

Plain Cake Donut Rings (item 8201779) – 2,017,614 cases total

Chocolate Cake Donut Rings (item 8201780) – 2,017,614 cases total

Yeast Ring Donut (item 8201804) – 2,017,614 cases total

Apple Fritter (item 8201805) – 2,017,614 cases total

The full list includes various flavors and types of donuts, all with production dates up to December 13, 2024. 

Distribution and Notification:

These products were distributed nationwide in the US and Canada. Consumers were notified through letters from the firm since no press release was issued for this recall.

Health Risks:

Listeria monocytogenes can lead to listeriosis, symptoms of which can include fever, muscle aches, and sometimes gastrointestinal symptoms such as diarrhea. In severe cases, it can result in convulsions, confusion, loss of balance, or even death. Pregnant women are advised to be particularly cautious as it can lead to miscarriage, stillbirth, premature delivery, or life-threatening infection of the newborn.
