Gerber Products Company has announced a recall and discontinuation of all batches of Gerber® Soothe N Chew® Teething Sticks due to a potential choking hazard for babies and young children, the Food and Drug Administration announced.

The recall was initiated after consumer complaints indicated choking incidents, with one reported emergency room visit. The affected products include Gerber® Soothe N Chew® Teething Sticks in Strawberry Apple and Banana flavors. These products were distributed nationwide through online sales and at various retail stores across multiple states and territories in the U.S. and Puerto Rico. 

Consumers are advised not to feed these teething sticks to their children and to return the product to the store where it was purchased for a refund. If there are concerns about an injury or illness, individuals should contact a healthcare provider. For further assistance, Gerber has made their customer service available 24/7 at 1-800-4-GERBER (1-800-443-7237). The company is fully cooperating with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regarding this recall.
