Forever 21 Recalls Children’s Pajamas Due to Burn Hazard

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has announced a of approximately 24,700 children’s pajamas sold exclusively by Forever 21, citing a violation of federal flammability regulations that poses a burn risk to children.
The recalled items include 20 styles of children’s sleepwear, such as eight pant styles, three short styles, and nine two-piece pajama sets, available in sizes 5/6, 7/8, 9/10, 11/12, and 13/14. These pajamas, featuring popular designs like Minnie Mouse, Hello Kitty, Beetlejuice, and various plaid and floral patterns, were sold at Forever 21 stores nationwide and online at www.forever21.com from November 2023 to November 2024, with prices ranging from $5 to $40.
According to the CPSC, the pajamas fail to meet the stringent flammability standards set for children’s sleepwear, increasing the likelihood of burn injuries. Item numbers, printed on a side-seambelow the barcode, identify the affected products, including styles like “White pants with pink bows” (01298115), “Black Hello Kitty print pants” (01299913), and “Be Mine” pink and red hearts tee and shorts set (01249379).

Consumers are urged to stop using the recalled pajamas immediately and contact Forever 21 for a full refund. To process the refund, customers must destroy the garments by cutting both the top and bottom pieces in half, dispose of them, and send a photo of the destroyed items to recall@forever21.com. Forever 21 is reaching out directly to known purchasers to facilitate the recall process. No incidents or injuries have been reported to date.
