Four Florida cities—Orlando, Fort Lauderdale, Miami, and Tampa—rank among the top 10 U.S. Spring Break destinations, reinforcing the state’s reputation as a travel hotspot. “Spring Break is one of the busiest travel times of the year, and Florida continues to be a top choice,” said Debbie Haas, Vice President of Travel for AAA – The Auto Club Group. “With new attractions and beautiful beaches, there’s something for everyone looking to make the most of their break.” Top Spring Break Trips for Floridians: Theme Parks (40%) – Orlando remains the number one choice for Spring Break travelers. Beach Destinations (36%) – Florida’s coastlines, including Miami Beach, Clearwater, and the Florida Keys, are among the most visited spots for sun-seekers. Road Trips (26%) – Many Floridians prefer road trips to destinations within the state, including scenic drives along the Gulf Coast and the Atlantic shoreline. Ocean Cruises (20%) – Departing from Miami and Fort Lauderdale, cruises to the Caribbean remain a top choice for those seeking adventure at sea.
