Edgewater Man Buys $1 Million Scratch-Off Ticket From Winn-Dixie

EDGEWATER, Florida – The Florida Lottery announced that John Sinclair, 66, of Edgewater, claimed a $1 million top prize from the JEOPARDY! Scratch-Off game at Lottery Headquarters in Tallahassee.

The Volusia County man chose to receive his winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $640,000.00.

Sinclair purchased his winning ticket from Winn-Dixie, located at 1838 South Ridgewood Avenue in Edgewater. The retailer received a $2,000 bonus commission for selling the winning Scratch-Off ticket.

The $5 JEOPARDY! Scratch-Off game features more than 4.7 million winning tickets, and offers over $64.3 million in total cash prizes, including 10 top prizes of $1 million.

The game’s overall odds of winning are 1-in-3.86.
