Florida Governor DeSantis Signs Nation’s Strongest Immigration Enforcement Bill

TALLAHASSEE, Florida – Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has signed into law what is considered one of the strictest anti-illegal immigration legislations in the United States. The new laws mandate cooperation between local law enforcement and ICE, create a new state immigration board, increase penalties for crimes by undocumented immigrants, and eliminate in-state tuition benefits for students without legal status.

“The bill I signed today ensures that Florida will set the standard for state action to end illegal immigration and deport illegal aliens,” DeSantis posted on X.

“Florida now has the strictest laws of any state to combat illegal immigration.”
