MIAMI, Florida — Scattered to widespread showers this afternoon will increase the risk of localized flooding on roadways across South Florida on Monday, February 24, 2025, according to the National Weather Service in Miami.
Isolated thunderstorms may also develop, with the strongest storms potentially bringing heavy downpours and gusty winds. While rare, the possibility of tornadic activity or localized damaging winds has not been ruled out, according to the National Weather Service Storm Prediction Center.
The National Weather Service in Miami has issued a high rip current risk for Miami-Dade, Palm Beach, and Broward counties through Monday evening. The rip current risk may remain elevated across Atlantic beaches through much of the week.
