ORLANDO, Florida – A dry cold front is sweeping southward across Central Florida on Friday, February 28, 2025, ushering in a shift to more seasonal weather conditions.
Afternoon temperatures are expected to settle into the 70s for the region. Mostly sunny.
Along the coast, the front is causing breezy conditions. Small craft operators are urged to exercise caution in offshore Volusia County waters this morning, where north winds are forecast to reach speeds of 15 to 20 knots. The National Weather Service has indicated that these winds could create choppy and potentially hazardous conditions for mariners.
A moderate risk of rip currents exists at all east central Florida beaches. Always swim near a lifeguard, and never enter the water alone.
