Boater Discovers 65 Pounds of Cocaine Floating Off South Florida Coast

FORT LAUDERDALE,  Florida – A routine outing on the water took an unexpected turn this weekend when a boater discovered a burlap sack floating in the Atlantic Ocean of of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, which was later found to contain 25 bricks of cocaine.

U.S. Border Patrol agents, with assistance from the U.S. Coast Guard Southeast, seized the narcotics, which weighed approximately 65 pounds. Authorities have not yet determined the source of the drugs, but investigations are ongoing.
