Rain, Dangerous Rip Currents For South Florida
MIAMI, Florida - Another cool, cloudy, rainy day is forecast for South Florida as a cold front remains parked just to our south, on Monday, January 20, 2025, according to the National Weather Service in Miami.
Showers likely, mainly before 10 a.m. Cloudy, with a high near 69.
North wind 11 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 21 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.
A High Rip Current Risk remains in effect for Miami-Dade, Palm Beach, and Broward counties.
Low temperatures will drop into the lower 60s overnight.
Tuesday through Sunday
The risk of rip currents could remain elevated across the Atlantic Coast beaches into next week as onshore winds increase and a northeasterly swell develops. An elevated risk of rip currents will persist across the Gulf coast beaches into the early portion of the week.
Hazardous marine conditions could return mid week as winds and seas increase.
Cold overnight temperatures are possible late this week into early next weekend.
