Judge Cannon Grants Release of Trump Election Report

FORT PIERCE, Florida - A federal judge in the U.S. Southern District of Florida has ruled to allow the release of the first volume of Special Counsel Jack Smith's report concerning President Donald Trump's actions around the 2020 election and January 6. 

U.S. District Judge Aileen Cannon's decision follows the unsealing of an indictment against Trump for conspiring to defraud the United States and other charges. 

The second volume, involving classified documents, is set for further review in a hearing scheduled for January 17, 2025.
