OAK HILL, Florida – Volusia County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a shooting incident reported around 1:42 a.m. on Sunday at Flamingo Road in Oak Hill, Florida.
Investigators say that the initial information provided by witnesses indicates a man at a house party fired a gun at another party goer, but missed.
The victim then charged at the shooter and stabbed him in the stomach.
The alleged shooter was airlifted to a hospital for treatment while detectives responded to the scene to investigate the incident further.
The shooter in this case (Nicholas Gant, DOB 8/5/2001) is charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon after it was later discovered that the bullet grazed the victim’s head.
