DeSantis Orders Flags Flown At Full-Staff In Florida On Inauguration Day
TALLAHASSEE, Florida - Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has ordered that flags be flown at full-staff on Inauguration Day, Monday, January 20, 2025, despite the customary practice of flying flags at half-staff to honor recently deceased former President Jimmy Carter.
DeSantis joins Alabama Governor Kay Ivey and Texas Governor Greg Abbott who also ordered that flags at state buildings be returned to full-staff for Inauguration Day.
At the U.S. Capitol, the flags will also be flown at full-staff for Donald Trump's inauguration, U.S. House Speaker Mike Johnson announced on X.
