Florida Driver Charged With DUI After Wrong Way Christmas Crash
PLANT CITY, Fla. - A 45-year-old woman, Flor Tulia Perez Roblero, was arrested early Wednesday morning following a wrong-way crash on SR-39, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The incident occurred at approximately 2:30 a.m. north of Knights Griffin Road, where Roblero was driving a Dodge Grand Caravan south in the northbound lane. Her vehicle collided almost head-on with a Kia Sorento operated by a 68-year-old woman from Zephyrhills.
Both drivers sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to local hospitals for treatment.
Investigators say that Roblero was operating the vehicle without a valid driver's license. After the crash, she was subjected to a breathalyzer test, leading to her arrest on charges of driving under the influence.
