Morning Fog, Thunderstorms, Rip Currents For South Florida
MIAMI, Florida - Showers are possible along with scattered thunderstorms mainly across the eastern half of South Florida on Thursday, December 19, 2024, according to the National Weather Service in Miami.
Dense fog has developed across the interior and western portions of South Florida this morning. Be extra cautious while driving early this morning as visibilities could be below a quarter of a mile in some locations through 9 a.m.
A Moderate Rip Current Risk remains for Miami-Dade, Palm Beach, and Broward counties through Wednesday evening.
Highs will reach the low 80s.
Friday through Wednesday
An elevated risk of rip currents may continue across the Palm Beaches through the upcoming weekend as lingering effects from a northeasterly swell continue.
Colder temperatures will move into South Florida on Friday night and into the upcoming weekend.
Hazardous marine conditions may develop across the Atlantic waters early next week as easterly wind flow increases.
