Afternoon Showers, Partly Cloudy For South Florida On New Year’s Eve
MIAMI, Florida - Chance of showers mainly after 4 p.m. along South Florida's east coast, then partly cloudy tonight across South Florida on New Year’s Eve, Tuesday, December 31, 2024, according to the National Weather Service in Miami.
A Moderate Rip Current Risk remains for Miami-Dade, Palm Beach, and Broward counties.
High temperatures will rise into the mid-to-lower 80s.
Wednesday through Monday
An elevated risk of rip currents will remain in place through most of the week along the Palm Beaches. The rip current risk may become elevated across the rest of the Atlantic beaches towards the end of the week.
Another round of fog will be possible tonight into Wednesday morning across the interior sections as well as Southwest Florida.
Cooler overnight temperatures will develop for the second half of the week and into the upcoming weekend especially across Southwest Florida where lows in the 40s and 50s will be possible.
