See If Over $3 Billion In Florida Lost Property Belongs To You
TALLAHASSEE, Florida - Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Jimmy Patronis launched the 2024 Holiday Money Hunt and is encouraging Floridians to spread the word and search to see if you or your business has Unclaimed Property that has been unknown or lost and ready to recover.
Currently, Florida has unclaimed property accounts with a total value of more than $3 billion. CFO Patronis is on a mission to celebrate the holidays and return every last cent back to its rightful owners.
Since CFO Patronis took office in 2017, more than $2.6 billion in unclaimed property has been returned to Florida citizens.
“I’m thrilled to kick off the 2024 Holiday Money Hunt and raise awareness about unclaimed property in Florida," CFO Jimmy Patronis said.
"The holiday season is a time when a little extra cash can go a long way, and an unexpected check from the State of Florida could brighten the festivities for many. Over the next two months, I’ll be working hard to spread the word about this incredible opportunity. Did you know that one in five Floridians has unclaimed property just waiting to be discovered? It only takes a few minutes to check—visit FLTreasureHunt.gov and see if some holiday cheer is waiting for you!”
