PORT CHARLOTTE, Florida – The Florida Lottery announced that William Palm of Port Charlotte claimed a $1 million top prize from the MILLIONAIRE MAKER Scratch-Off game at Lottery Headquarters in Tallahassee.
The Charlotte County man chose to receive his winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $640,000.00
Palm turned $5 into $1 million when he purchased his winning ticket from Winn-Dixie, located at 3280 Tamiami Trail in Port Charlotte.
The retailer received a $2,000 bonus commission for selling the winning Scratch-Off ticket.
The $5 Scratch-Off game, MILLIONAIRE MAKER, launched in May and features six top prizes of $1 million.
The game’s overall odds of winning are 1-in-3.87.
