Florida Man Buys $1 Million Scratch-Off At Winn Dixie
JACKSONVILLE, Florida - The Florida Lottery announced that Charles Dennison, 59, of Jacksonville, claimed a $1 million prize from the GOLD RUSH LEGACY Scratch-Off game at Lottery Headquarters in Tallahassee.
The Duval County man chose to receive his winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $640,000.
Dennison turned $20 into $1 million when he purchased his winning ticket from Winn-Dixie, located at 5647 Roosevelt Boulevard in Jacksonville.
The retailer received a $2,000 bonus commission for selling the winning Scratch-Off ticket.
The $20 Scratch-Off game, GOLD RUSH LEGACY, launched in April and features four top prizes of $10 million and 20 prizes of $1 million. This game also features more than $894 million in total cash prizes.
The game’s overall odds of winning are 1-in-2.97.
