Walmart Ends Drone Delivery In Florida

TAMPA, Florida - Walmart is ending drone delivery service with DroneUp in Florida, Arizona, and Utah, Axios reports.

DroneUp is shutting down its delivery hub in for the Tampa area because of lack of consumer demand to remain sustainable.

The use of delivery drones across the U.S. has sparked backlash from residents in the neighborhoods they serve over noise complaints.

In June, a Florida man was arrested for shooting a DroneUp drone that was making a Walmart delivery in Clermont, Florida.
