PERRIGO baby formula recall

Perrigo Company announced a voluntary recall of 16,500 cans of store brand Premium Infant Formula with Iron Milk-Based Powder due to excessive levels of Vitamin D, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announced.

The recall, affecting three lots within one batch, involves products shipped to H-E-B Grocery Company, LP in Texas, and CVS stores in several states including Texas, Florida, California, South Carolina, Virginia, Indiana, Tennessee, New Jersey, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, and Missouri. No other products or retailers are involved in this recall.

While the recall is unlikely to pose health risks to most infants, those with specific health conditions, such as impaired renal function, may be at risk of complications from consuming the affected product.
