MIAMI, Florida- U.S. Senators Marco Rubio (R-FL) and Rick Scott (R-FL) both blamed the Biden-Harris Administration’s policies for the Venezuelan Presidential Election where socialist President Nicolas Maduro and opposition candidate Edmundo González are both claiming to have won.

"The Maduro regime in #Venezuela has just carried out the most predictable and ridiculous sham election in modern history," Senator Rubio tweeted.

"Today was that election and it was a complete fraud. The latest example of how our enemies have suckered Biden and Harris repeatedly over the last four years."

Rubio's sentiment was echoed by leaders from around the world who are questioning the election results claimed by the Maduro regime when González led by wide margins in exit polls.

"Today is a dark day for democracy in Latin America," Senator Rick Scott posted on X.

"Maduro has stolen another election from the Venezuelan people & the Biden-Harris admin helped him do it by fueling his power with sanctions relief & appeasement. Edmundo González won & he must be recognized as President-elect."
