Florida Man Arrested For Threats To Kill Trump
JUPITER, Florida - A Florida man was arrested on Friday after an investigation found that he had allegedly made written threats on social media against former President Donald Trump and U.S. Senator J.D. Vance (R–Ohio) and their families.
Jupiter police were alerted to the threats through multiple online crime tips as well as residents who expressed their concern in person.
After investigating the reports and Michael M. Wiseman’s Facebook account, Jupiter police detectives say that they found Wiseman had made multiple threats against Trump and Vance, who earlier this week became the Republican nominees for President and Vice President, respectively.
Jupiter police say that Wiseman also allegedly made threats concerning bodily harm to members of the Trump and Vance families.
Jupiter police coordinated the investigation with the United States Secret Service and the Palm Beach County State Attorney’s Office. Jupiter police officers took Wiseman into custody without incident.
Wiseman is being held in the Palm Beach County Jail with no bond set.
