MIAMI, Florida - The National Weather Service in Miami has issued a Heat Advisory effective from 10 AM Wednesday through 8 PM EDT Thursday for several areas in South Florida, including Miami-Dade, Broward, Collier, and Monroe Counties.

Peak heat index values between 105 and 110 degrees expected Wednesday and Thursday afternoons.

The combination of high temperatures and humidity can lead to heat-related illnesses. Residents are advised to take precautions to stay cool and hydrated.
