KEY LARGO, Florida - A fisherman discovered a package containing 25 bricks of suspected cocaine offshore of north Key Largo at approximately 9:45 a.m. Sunday, according to the Monroe County Sheriff's Office.
This is the third time a large amount of cocaine has been discovered in the waters off the Florida Keys this summer.
Last month, a boater found sixty-five pounds of cocaine worth over $1 million floating at sea off of the Florida Keys, the U.S. Border Patrol announced.
Earlier in June, twenty-five individually wrapped kilograms of suspected cocaine were found by scuba divers in approximately 100 feet of water in the Atlantic Ocean.
