Thunderstorms Possible For South Florida

 

MIAMI, Florida – Scattered to numerous thunderstorms are possible this afternoon and into the evening on Sunday, June 9, 2024, across South Florida, mostly in the interior areas, according to the National Weather Service Hazardous Weather Outlook.

The greatest chance for thunderstorms is in interior Southwest Florida.

Frequent lightning, gusty winds, and heavy rain are the main threats.

The rain could help to deter some of the brush fires that have erupted across Central Florida and South Florida.

Temperatures will reach the low 90s in most areas with heat indices in the triple digits.
