MARTIN COUNTY, Florida – A brush fire near Stuart West in Palm City has been reduced from 100+ acres to 30-40 acres on Friday evening, but there is no longer a threat to homes, according to Martin County Fire Rescue.

Some residents have been cleared to return home.
There were no reports of damaged homes.
MCFR advises drivers to use caution if traveling in the area or on I-95 as smoke could significantly impair visibility.
