Marion County Fire Rescue Battles Ocala House Fire

OCALA, Florida - Marion County Fire Rescue (MCFR) crews battled an early morning house fire on Wednesday.
At 3:06 a.m., MCFR crews were dispatched to 20 Juniper Pass Way, Ocala, following several 911 calls reporting that the porch and garage were on fire, with both smoke and flames visible.

When crews arrived, heavy smoke was coming from the home, and fire was visible through the roof.
Firefighters began an offensive attack. However, due to fire conditions and ammunition going off inside the house, Command Officers on scene ordered a defensive posture on the fire for the safety of the crews.

Firefighters managed to bring the blaze under control at 3:41 a.m.
The cause and origin of the fire remain under investigation at this time.
No injuries were reported to civilians or firefighters on scene.
