Large Hail, Severe Weather Possible Across Florida

 

NWS Hazardous Weather Outlook Florida Wednesday, June 6, 2024

, Florida – Strong to locally severe thunderstorms capable of producing damaging wind gusts, large hail, heavy downpours, and frequent cloud-to-ground lightning will be possible across the eastern half of the Florida peninsula, according to the Storm Prediction Center.

Elsewhere, the rest of Florida will see normal thunderstorms.

The greatest chance for severe weather is from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. from east of southward to Miami.

The afternoon thunderstorms may bring relief to some areas from the excessive heat in the 90’s with a heat index above 100 that is forecast across .
