Hershey’s, Jeni’s, and Friendly’s Ice Cream Recalled Due To Listeria
OWINGS MILLS, MD – June 24, 2024 - Totally Cool, Inc. has issued a nationwide recall for multiple ice cream products due to potential contamination with Listeria monocytogenes. This bacterium can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections, particularly in young children, the elderly, and those with weakened immune systems. No illnesses have been reported yet.
Affected products include various brands such as Friendly’s, Abilyn’s Frozen Bakery, Hershey’s, and others. Production and distribution have been halted following FDA sampling that detected Listeria.
