Florida Woman Arrested For Murder Of Woman At Orlando Hotel

ORLANDO, Florida - A Florida woman was arrested for the murder of a 27-year-old Tampa woman who was shot at the Waldorf Astoria Orlando in December.


Megha Saluja, 27, of Fleming Island, was indicted by an Orange County Grand Jury for the murder of Alana Miccolis.


Orange County Sheriff's Office investigators say that Saluja and Miccolis were in a relationship, News 6 reported.


According to her Facebook page, Miccolis was a graduate from the University of Central Florida and a marine biologist who volunteered at the Florida Aquarium.

"On December 8th 2023 my sister was taken from us forever. A grand jury indicted the person responsible and she was arrested on June 1st 2024. Now we wait for trial," the victim's sister wrote on Facebook.


"We’d like to thank the Orange County Sheriff’s Department for all of their efforts. Thank you everyone for continuing to respect our privacy."
