Florida Boy Dies After Falling Off Sea Wall

PALM BEACH COUNTY, Florida - The body of an 8-year-old who fell off of a sea wall at Boynton Inlet has been recovered.

Just after 6:00 a.m. on Thursday,  June 13, 2024, the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office received a 911 call reporting that an 8-year-old boy may have fallen off the sea wall and into the Boynton Inlet at 6990 North Ocean Boulevard.

Deputies quickly began a comprehensive search with a Marine Unit, Helicopter, and multiple rescue teams. 

At 10:39 a.m. the Boynton Beach Fire Rescue Dive Team found the child on the north side of the inlet. 

Detectives, crime scene investigators, and the Palm Beach County Medical Examiner's Office arrived at the scene.

"Our hearts go out to the family during this incredibly difficult time," the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office stated.
