DEARBORN, MI – Ford Motor Company has announced a safety recall for 552,188 Ford F-150 vehicles from the 2014 model year due to a defect in the Powertrain Control Module (PCM).
The defect may cause an intermittent loss of the Output Shaft Speed (OSS) sensor signal, leading to unintended downshifts into first gear and increasing the risk of a crash.
Owners will be notified by mail starting July 1, 2024, and instructed to visit their local dealer for a free PCM calibration update.
