2 Florida Cities Among Dirtiest In U.S., Study Finds

FORT LAUDERDALE, Florida - Two cities in Florida were ranked among the top 20 dirtiest cities in America, according to a recently released study.


Lawnstarter compared over 150 of the biggest U.S. cities across four categories, including pollution, living conditions, infrastructure, and consumer satisfaction.


No. 18 Hollywood, Florida


Hollywood was ranked No. 18 overall, with a worst pollution ranking of 29 and worst living conditions rank of 9.


Hollywood's infrastructure came in average with a ranking of 51 but performed much better in consumer satisfaction with a ranking of 97.


No. 20 Fort Lauderdale, Florida 


Fort Lauderdale was ranked No. 20 overall, with a worst pollution ranking of 29 and worst living conditions rank of 10.


Fort Lauderdale's infrastructure came in average with a ranking of 42 but performed much better in consumer satisfaction with a ranking of 114, which is perhaps why another study found Fort Lauderdale among the top 100 places to live in the U.S.
