Thunderstorms Possible For Most Of Florida

MIAMI, Florida – Scattered thunderstorms are possible this afternoon and into the evening on Sunday, June 2, 2024, across South Florida, Central Florida, the Florida panhandle, and the western half of the North Florida peninsula, according to the National Weather Service Hazardous Weather Outlook.

The greatest chance for thunderstorms is in Southwest Florida. 

Frequent lightning, gusty winds, and heavy rain are the main threats.

The rain could help to douse some of the brush fires that have erupted across Central Florida and South Florida.
