TAMPA, Florida -The National Weather Service Tampa Bay Area in Ruskin, Florida, issued a severe thunderstorm warning remains in effect until 11:45 AM EDT for South Central Pasco, Northeastern Pinellas, and Northwestern Hillsborough Counties.
A severe thunderstorm, detected by radar, was located over Citrus Park, near Tampa, moving east at 45 mph. The storm poses hazards including 60 mph wind gusts and quarter-size hail.
Locations impacted by this severe thunderstorm include Tampa, Clearwater, Largo, Temple Terrace, Safety Harbor, West Park, Oldsmar, Busch Gardens, South Highpoint, and Trinity.
Residents in the affected areas are advised to take precautionary measures. Move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building for your protection.
