OSCEOLA COUNTY - Osceola County Circuit Court Judge John D.W. Beamer was reprimanded on May 9 by the Florida Supreme Court for significant delays in issuing orders and.documenting cases.

The Judicial Qualifications Commission found that "this matter involved dozens of cases and significant delays in rulings and orders," and that Judge Beamer "was counseled repeatedly without result."

The Commission also noted, however, that Judge Beamer immediately accepted responsibility for his conduct; cooperated with the Commission's Investigative Panel; and, both before and after receiving a notice of investigation, took steps to address the backlog of pending matters.

According to the Ninth Judicial Circuit website, Judge Beamer was assigned to family law cases from 2020 to 2022, and criminal and juvenile delinquency cases from 2023 to present.

He received his law degree from Barry University.
