Homeless Man Charged With Murder In Florida Keys

MARATHON, Florida - A 37-year-old homeless Florida man was arrested Saturday for allegedly beating up another homeless man at Marathon Community Park who later died at Fishermen’s Hospital, the Monroe County Sheriff's Office announced.
Lee Charles Quinn was charged with the murder of 54-year-old William Claude Prichett, also of Marathon, Florida.
Deputies were called to the park at approximately 4 p.m. regarding a fight.
Investigators say that several homeless people and witnesses stated Quinn attacked Prichett with his fists during a verbal argument.
Witnesses told deputies that Prichett fell to the ground and Quinn continued to punch him.
Another homeless man who intervened was also allegedly struck by Quinn but was not seriously injured.
Prichett was taken to the hospital where he later died.
The Sheriff’s Office found, detained, and charged Quinn shortly after the incident.
