Fire Erupts At Cody's Original Roadhouse in Tampa

TAMPA, Florida - Hillsborough County Fire Rescue crews battled a massive blaze that erupted around 5:15 a.m. on Thursday at Cody’s Original Roadhouse in Tampa, Florida.

According to Hillsborough County Fire Rescue, 911 calls came in at 5:15 a.m. reporting a heavy fire in the restaurant.
Engine 39, the first fire engine crew to arrive at the scene, was met with a single-story restaurant with heavy fire.

Crews initially advanced hose lines to the inside of the structure. But as conditions deteriorated, fire command called for a defensive attack.
The firefighters battled the blaze for over an hour and are still on the scene late this morning.

No injuries were reported and a fire investigator are is on the scene to determine the cause of the fire.
"We're devastated to share that early this morning, Cody's Original Roadhouse in Tampa suffered a devastating fire. We extend our deepest gratitude to all the brave first responders who rushed to the scene and worked tirelessly to contain the fire," Cody's Original Roadhouse posted on its Facebook page.
