National Weather Service Issues Tornado Watch For Florida
TAMPA. Florida - The National Weather Service Storm Prediction Center has issued a TORNADO WATCH that will remain in effect until 3 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time on Thursday, April 11, 2024, for the following Florida counties:
Alachua, Baker, Bradford, Citrus, Clay, Columbia, Dixie, Duval, Flagler, Gilchrist, Hamilton, Hernando, Hillsborough, Lafayette, Lake, Levy, Marion, Nassau, Pasco, Pinellas, Polk, Putnam, St. Johns, Sumter, Suwannee, Union, and Volusia.

A TORNADO WATCH means that tornadoes are possible in and near the watch area.
People within the tornado watch areas should review and discuss their emergency plans, check supplies, and their safe room.
