KENNEDY SPACE CENTER, Florida – The launch of a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket carrying Starlink 6-42 satellites is targeted to liftoff at 11:09 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time on Saturday, March 23, 2024, from Launch Complex 39A (LC-39A) at Kennedy Space Center in Florida.

Attempted Landing On Drone Ship

Following stage separation, the first stage of the Falcon 9 will attempt a landing on the autonomous drone ship Just Read the Instructions in the Atlantic .

Starlink 6-42 Payload

The Starlink satellites are part of a next-generation satellite network developed by SpaceX to provide the globe with reliable and affordable broadband internet services.

SpaceX designed Starlink to connect end-users with low latency, high bandwidth broadband services by providing continual coverage around the world using a network of thousands of satellites in low Earth orbit.

SpaceX Falcon 9 Booster Reuse History

This is the 19th flight for the first stage booster supporting this mission, which previously launched GPS III-3, Turksat 5A, Transporter-2, Intelsat G-33/G-34, Transporter-6, Intuitive Machines IM-1, and 12 Starlink missions
