SpaceX Rocket Launch From Florida Of Starlink Satellites March 15

CAPE CANAVERAL, Florida – The launch of a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket carrying Starlink 6-44 satellites is targeted to liftoff at 6:39 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time on Friday, March 15, 2024, from Kennedy Space Center in Florida.

Attempted Landing On Drone Ship

Following stage separation, the first stage of the Falcon 9 will attempt a landing on the autonomous drone ship A Shortfall of Gravitas in the Atlantic Ocean.

Starlink 6-44 Payload

The Starlink satellites are part of a next-generation satellite network developed by SpaceX to provide the globe with reliable and affordable broadband internet services.

SpaceX designed Starlink to connect end-users with low latency, high bandwidth broadband services by providing continual coverage around the world using a network of thousands of satellites in low Earth orbit.

SpaceX Falcon 9 Booster Reuse History

This is the 19th flight for the first stage booster supporting this mission, which previously launched GPS III Space Vehicle 04, GPS III Space Vehicle 05, Inspiration4, Ax-1, Nilesat 301, OneWeb Launch 17, ARABSAT BADR-8, and 11 Starlink missions.
