Cashews Sold At Walmart Recalled

John B. Sanfilippo & Son, Inc. (JBSS) issued a voluntary recall for a limited quantity of 8.25 oz Great Value Honey Roasted Cashews sold at Walmart stores.

The recall comes after the discovery that the product may contain undeclared coconut and milk, posing a serious risk to individuals allergic or sensitive to these ingredients, according to the U.S. Food & Drug Administration.

The affected product, described as Great Value Honey Roasted Cashews with a best if used by date of Jul 08 2025 GH2, comes in an 8.25 oz plastic can with a blue wrap around label. The UPC for the product is 078742133348. Consumers are advised to check the bottom of the can for the best if used by date.

No adverse reactions related to the consumption of this product have been reported as of now.

The recall affects Walmart stores in several states, including Alabama, California, Florida, and Texas, as well as online purchases through Walmart.com.

The recall was initiated following a consumer complaint about finding coconut cashews in a container labeled as honey roasted cashews. An investigation revealed that a limited number of containers were mislabeled during the manufacturing process.

Consumers who have purchased this product are urged not to consume it. Instead, they should either dispose of the product or return it to a Walmart store for a full refund.
