CLEARWATER, Florida – Three people died following a plane crash into a mobile home park in Clearwater, Florida.

Around 7 p.m. on Thursday, February 1, 2024, a single-engine Beechcraft Bonanza V35 crashed into Bayside Waters manufactured home park off of U.S. Highway 1 and south of the Clearwater Mall.

Clearwater Fire and Rescue Chief Scott Ehlers said in a news briefing that the plane crash caused  four mobile homes to catch fire.

The pilot and two people on the ground were killed in the crash, according to the Federal Aviation Administration.
