CAPE CANAVERAL, Florida – The launch of the O1vzon 3 satellite atop a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket is scheduled to liftoff on Wednesday, January 3, 2024, from Space Launch Complex 40 at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida.
The 10-minute launch window opens at 6:04 p.m. ET.
If needed, a backup opportunity is available Thursday, January 4 with an 87-minute launch window opening at 4:47 p.m. ET..
Ovzon 3 is the first privately funded and developed Swedish geostationary satellite ever to be launched..
Launch Weather 95% 'GO'
According to the U.S. Space Force 45th Weather Squadron, there is a 95% chance of favorable weather conditions for launch.
The primary weather concern is the cumulus cloud rule.
