Person Injured After Being 'Launched' Into Florida Garbage Truck

PENSACOLA, Florida - A person was injured after being launched into a Waste Management garbage truck Tuesday morning in Pensacola, Florida.

According to Escambia County Fire Rescue, crews responded to a medical incident at the 7900 block of Pine Forest Road.

Shortly after arrival, fire rescue personnel confirmed that a person was launched into the garbage truck and trapped inside. 

Firefighters were able to safely rescue the person from inside the truck with the use of ladders. 

The patient was then transported to an area hospital.
