For its twentieth year running, the two-hour Puppy Bowl will air on Animal Planet beginning on Sunday, February 11th at 2 PM ET/11 AM PT. Celebrating its 20th anniversary on Animal Planet, this milestone event is set to feature more adorable puppies from shelters and rescues than ever before.

TeamRuff and TeamFluff Adoptable Players

A staggering 131 puppy players from 73 shelters and rescues across 36 states and territories will take center stage, representing Team Ruff and Team Fluff in the ultimate showdown. Among these canine competitors are noteworthy participants, including the smallest pup, Sweetpea, weighing in at a mere 1.7 lbs, and the largest, Levi the Great Dane, tipping the scales at an impressive 70 lbs.

Beyond the cuteness overload, Puppy Bowl XX aims to share inspiring adoption stories. As the playful pups race and chase their way to the end zone, they're not just vying for the "Lombarky" trophy but also hoping to find their forever homes. To mark the special occasion, four beloved past Puppy Bowl players will be inducted into the prestigious Puppy Bowl Hall of Fame.

Adding an extra heartwarming touch, six special needs puppy players will be introduced, showcasing the resilience and spirit of dogs like Riddle, a pug terrier with cerebellar hypoplasia, and Mr. Bean, a hind-legged papillon mix. Deaf pups will also demonstrate their agility on the gridiron.

In a twist of adorable chaos, lovable canines will take charge behind the scenes, leading the production in the control room, on the studio floor, and even coaching Team Ruff and Team Fluff. Referee Dan Schachner returns for his 13th year, joined by a puppy assistant coach named Whistle, who will help bark out plays and fumbles.

Sportscasters Steve Levy and Taylor Rooks will provide lively play-by-play commentary as Team Ruff and Team Fluff engage in playful rivalry. As the teams battle it out on the field, one lucky pup will be crowned MVP (Most Valuable Puppy), while another will receive the Underdog Award.

The festivities kick off with a pre-game show at 1 PM ET, offering an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the Puppy Bowl draft, featuring puppy interviews, breed mix details, and unique traits revealed by the Wisdom Panel™ dog DNA test. Viewers can also anticipate a sneak peek at the Kitty Halftime Show.
