Mega Millions Winner Claims $1.6 Billion Jackpot

TALLAHASSEE, Florida – The Florida Lottery announced that Saltines Holdings, LLC claimed the record-breaking MEGA MILLIONS jackpot of $1.6 billion from the drawing held on August 8, 2023.

The winner chose to receive the winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $794,248,882.00.

The winning ticket, which matched all five of the white ball numbers and the Mega Ball number, was a Quick Pick ticket that was purchased from Publix, located at 630 Atlantic Boulevard in Neptune Beach.

The retailer received a $100,000 bonus commission for selling the winning MEGA MILLIONS ticket.
