Florida Holiday Boat Parades Canceled Due To Weather



Several holiday boat parades across Florida have been canceled or rescheduled due to severe weather that is forecast to move across the Sunshine State on the weekend of December 16 and 17, 2023.


FORT LAUDERDALE WINTERFEST BOAT PARADE

"The Seminole Hard Rock Winterfest Boat Parade, scheduled for Saturday, December 16, 2023, has been canceled due to unprecedented weather conditions, including heavy winds and unsafe boating conditions," the organizers announced on the winterfestparade's website.

"The decision to cancel the event was made under the guidance and advisement of the United States Coast Guard, Fort Lauderdale Marine Patrol, Fort Lauderdale Fire Department, and other relevant agencies.


CAPE CORAL BOAT-A-LONG

"Due to inclement weather, the City of Cape Coral's Holiday Boat-A-Long on December 16 has been canceled. We apologize for any inconvenience. Please note that the event will not be rescheduled, the City of Cape Coral announced on Facebook.


CRYSTAL RIVER

The 2023 Crystal River Boat Parade is rescheduled for December 23rd.


DAYTONA BEACH CHRISTMAS PARADE

Due to the anticipated bad weather this weekend, the Daytona Beach Christmas Boat Parade has been postponed to Friday, Dec. 22.  The time and route remain the same.
